Yes, reportedly done for safety reasons as the tyres won't last for 200 miles on Superbike. Ducati has struggled in the past to last the 200 miles. With the shorter race (70k) it should at least make it to the finish.

here. It looks like the Suzuki's are plenty fast but Honda are not quite there yet. Sort of similar to the first WSB race. It'll be interesting to see how the first BSB race ends up.
The race is on at 11:15 local time on Saturday, or 4:15PM on Motors-TV!
