More 900ss mods No2 - Brakes !!!

The recent brake topic was very timely but I already had the parts to do my little mods so I thought I'd mention them in this forum instead......

I've done two mods at once (sort of sadly) so its impossible to tell which has had the most effect but, it was sensible to do both at the same time.

I found both of these mods at the following excellent website:

http://www.ducatitech.com/2v/aftermarket/index.html

1) Altered plumbing of front brake lines...

This link explains it all:

http://www.ducatitech.com/2v/aftermarket/brakes.html

It works a treat - all I had to do was stop any rubbing by using cable wrap to keep the braided lines together.

Nissin - larger volume master cylinder
Again as the website - I got hold of a ZX7R master and it went on without too much trouble. The connections for the brake light switch are different (larger spade type) but I used some scotch type clips to lenghten the lead.
The feel is much better now and is also much firmer but I think there is still some more to come as there might be a little air trapped in the system.

Here are the mods as pictured on my bike:
