dilema..to sell or not to sell...

right, got a few bits which I have changed on sps since I got it and, following recent fairing flying episode, have had to fork out a load of dosh which wasnt planed. Question is, do I sell the bits or keep em? I've got:

damaged (probabaly repairable!) full fairing
tank
spare track fairing & seat
rear sets & heel guards plus carbon heel guards
gold brembo wheels
std master cylinder
clip ons
ohlins spring (bit tired)
showa fork springs
new brake pads (for non-floating discs, bought wrong ones!!)

no plans to sell the bike (unless someone offers me stupid money!!) and thinking, if I could get 800-1000 for the lot, would it be worth 800 less with a non std body kit (ins f/glass copy) and other non std bits left on?? Looking at Ebay and other adds on here, seems the bottom is falling out of the market at the mo anyway....

not an offer for sale, so please dont send over u2u's, just asking for opion.
cheers

To be honest Paul...I don't think you'll get anywhere near £1000 for those bits.

The fairing/tank/seat unit may go for say £150/200
Rearsets and heal guards say £150
Brembo wheels £125

the rest is just going to be another few quid on top I'm guessing...so your looking at £500 if you have a good time!

As for would it be worth less with a fibre glass fairing etc...In my opinion yes, not necessarily for market price reasons, but more that I would never buy a bike like an SPS (which lets face it, most will buy for either a bit of an investment or to race/TD) that basically looked like (even though it hasn't!) been down the road/track.

I would want the original panels, that I could remove if I wanted.

Your right though...now is not the time to be looking to sell!

Paul,

Does your tank also have the fuel pump? If so, split them as you'll get more for the separate items than combined.

Clip-ons have been going on eBay for around £30 / pair.

Wait until march / april to start selling if you decide to.

yep..always thought I'd keep em so I could put back to std and sell other stuff seperately (if I could be arsed!!)...sounds like that is the reasoned approach, just got to find somewhere to put all the stuff!!
