Hi from Kent

Hi Guys & Girls

Was on the forum back in 2003 when I owned a Ducati 748R.
Sold the duke in 2005 and went on to MV Agusta ownership.

Could never get over the 748R and very much regretted the sale, 8 years later I got the itch to find another 748R as no other bike gave me the grin factor, the 748 was a fantastic machine so the search was on.

I was fortunate to find a mint R MY02 in A1 standard trim, original receipt, Termi's, both chips, service history the lot.......
Only thing missing is the original supplied Paddock stand which I am searching for in order to complete the bike.

So here I am again after an absence of 11 years.

Thanks for having me on board

Jake

Hi Frank,

Thanks for the welcome.

It all started with this one back in 2003 - No 856

For me it was one of the most enjoyable bikes I had owned. Unfortunately I didn't realise how much I would miss it. 9 years later and alot of searching I found an immaculate 748 - No 219.

Granted the bike comes with a few tasteful mods, however all the original parts are included. The bike has no stone chips or marks and can only be described as 'like new'. The tyres are dated 2007 and require renewing however I dont plan in using it much (I commute on a bike daily therefore the excitement of weekend blasts have long gone).
The bike was sent to Ducati Pro Team in Kent for a full inspection and alarm removal, together with a full recommission, belts, fluids etc.

Hi Jake, how do you rate Ducati Proteam? My old man is thinking of taking his 996R there for a full service but he's never used them before and would appreciate some feedback. Cheers... Andy

Hi Andy

Alec the man behind DPT is a fantastic mechanic, extremely knowledgeable and demonstrates an old fashioned sense of pride to his work.
I asked if I could come and watch as I was curious and keen to pick up on a few things which would allow for me to have a better understanding of how the bike works and how to conduct routine checks etc. Alec took the time to show me what was what.
A very methodical and professional mechanic and I have no hesitation whatsoever recommending him
