Lets be honest chaps
if the fine young men that died in 2 world wars could see what our weak politicians and powerfull judges and lawyers(sorry parasites) are doing now do you really believe they would bother again.
they fought for our freedom not some hooked armed islamic monster to be allowed to preach his anti western crap.
at least Hitler would have sent him to gas chamber.

Have to say I agree with much of what Jools says except I'm so disillusioned by the politicians I see operating in this country I decided not to vote .. it only encourages them. Seriously, if I had voted then I would have felt I was supporting the lie. My faith in human nature has ebbed away considerably over the last few years.

Hold on - I'm a HR manager! Snap out of it Henners

ukip

EU
Can someone explain that how can you vote for a UKIP Mep if you dont want to be in Europe because once you voted them to brussels how are they going to vote themselves out of existance.
And once on the gravy train no one gets off?

I worked a scanner on Friday at one of the count centres in London - scanned in ballot papers for GLA, London Mayor, and Euro elections... nothing interesting in that, other than getting to see the candidates nervously wandering around watching and waiting for the results... Blimey... some of them didn't even look capable of dressing themselves properly - I'd hate to trust them to look after my well-being!!

On a more interesting note - the quote of the day - "If elections changed anything, the Government would ban them".

And yes, I did vote this time but only because I had a postal vote - I wouldn't have made the effort to go out and do it, so maybe postal voting's a good thing??

I read an interesting piece on the BBC website yesterday about trying to convince non-voters to vote.

While I agree with most of the points put forward to convince people to vote, there's also some very good counter arguments as to why they didn't vote - the freedom *NOT* to vote being one of them!
