I don't know how many are going (does anybody?), but I can add to the list of those not going. Mike and Jed Atack won't be there. Can't help thinking that it must be getting so that all who turn up will find a space on the grid.

BTW, newbie question-> since practice isn't until 1pm-ish is there any reason why I can't leave it til late saturday morning to turn up, get scruted and signed on?

I beleive that as of yesterday the grid was not yet full and accordingly everyone who turns up will get a race.

Thats good news...maybe a blanket email to the DD crowd ! so that the riders who stayed away through fear of not getting a race, may turn up on a late entry.?

Technically you're correct.

Don't leave it too late though, scrutes and the office may get a bit narked if you roll in at midday

Thats NOT good news, one minute we are moaning they haven't given us two seperate grids and the next we can't fill the one grid they have given us, I can see it making it harder to secure two grids in the future if we carry on like this.

Next thing we know it will be a single grid at Oulton with everybody having to quallify, for what is it at Oulton ? 40 grid places

Hardly going to encourage new entrants to the series,
just shows we are our own worse enemy

And this website is currently pi55ing me off with its

I think the lack of riders is a result of the combined grid, not the other way around.

If we had 2 grids, I think you'll find we would have more people entering.

The chance of not qualifying has put people off - that and NE's general attitude.

It's a vicious circle. What we need is NE to have faith in us, and guarentee each class it's own grid - then you may see more people committing to it, otherwise we'll be back to one grid next season - which doesn't bother me one bit, but if I was on a 583 I'd be pi55ed right off.
