BMW

Has anyone test rode the BWM R1100S Im thinking of changing my Guzzi Lemans5 as the fairing is not good enough at motorway speeds any coments would be appreciated.

Fast, comfortable, steady, reliable but staid, what more could you want from a commuter. It's not what you'd call an exciting bike, but a skilfull rider could show most superbike jockeys a thing or two

I have one as well as my 888. What Psychlist said, except staid, but with the added ability to hack all across Europe whilst having a laugh. he's right about beating up the ricburners too.

Oh yes, agricultural gearbox too.

Thanks chaps
Took one out on saturday and yes the gearbox is just like my Guzzi agricultural,enjoyed 2 hours mixed riding handles very similiar to the guzz but far more power and smoother with it.
very impressed so if anyone is interested in a totaly restored Lemans IV all st/st bolts etc about £2000 spent on resto I will be putting on the market in august when I come back from hols.

After test riding a boxer cup last year - I think buying an ST4 would be a more suitable option
