Brands TD Monday

I ve got my new tyres fitted and have a track day booked for tomorrow at Brands Hatch

"THE SPIRITIAL HOME OF MOTORCYCLING"

I can't wait to check that everything still works and that I haven't forgotton how to ride, I'll try not to do 'Niel' (pre season crashing)

I never seem to even mark my tyres let alone wear them out, so they might suit me better.

I'll let you know how it goes, ... Is anyone else going?

enjoy, hope its dry so you can get a good gauge as to what will be a quick lap on the new rubber. I think there could be a risk of some lap records falling this year

Well I'm sure the bike still works but in my (recent) experience it's the rider that falls short
Enjoy and stay shiny side up.

Oh, it'll be good to see Mark, he'll probably be overtaking me at the time :-\

Hopefully I did all/most of my falling off last year!

It seems that not falling off is the best way.

southern whimp :(

sorry guys, it was wet, hail and so cold I came home at lunch time

I am a southerner after al!

But seriously, the day went like this..

Session 1, - 2 laps then got black flagged for being over the noise limit.

Session 2, - 2 laps then red flag, 3 bikes coming together at druids closed the track for half hour

session 3, 2 laps then red flag, 4 bikes coming together at druids spilling oil, petrol and other fluid closing the track untill lunch time.

That was as well as a liberal spattering of bikes sliding off at all the other corners as well.

then the organizers called a riders meeting and said that because so many people had gone home there was not enough riders to continue with 3 groups and were going to re organize into 2 groups for after lunch.... more people went home.

by that time I was feeling hungry and decided to go to the pub for lunch instead!

Matt AWESOME Lawson...

please please please please please please be dry on race day XX Please

Sounds like Sunday and 27th Jan (on my 848). There were not many sessions that were not Red flagged. In 2 trackdays I have done 20 whole laps, mostly whilst it was trying to snow. Either everyone is an idiot or Brands is a plain dangerous when it is damp and cold. Not too bothered about the damp, but it would be nice to see temperatures into double figures for race day.

Everyones pre season test wether it be Brands Oulton or Snett, has been cold wet/damp. So at least we all should be on a level playing field.

Add two wasted days at Cadwell to that list... are outriggers against the rules
