Gearing for 996R / 998S / 998R?
...with my old 996Bip and 996SPS, I changed the gearing from standard, by either putting a 14th on the front or 38 on the back.

With the more powerful 996R / 998S or 998R, are these happier with the standard gearing or are you still regearing to get the best from these?

Rattler careful ..???

Weeksy get real .......

I think you should just smash it up with a hammer, kick it round the garage and then drag it along behind the car for a few hundred yards ....

It'll at least save you the cost of the track day for acheiving the same result ..???

Bog off.......skinny!!!!
Weeksy - its all about speed - who cares about fuel economy!!!!

My point was, with the extra power of these bikes, did that negate the need to change gearing to achieve realistically useable track acceleration?

are you taking the mickey Rattler ..???

if you think you need anymore that what that R has to offer I think you should delete this profle and re-register as Rattlertino Rossi .... mate you shock me .....

And if I'm skinny then you really need to see a Doctor mate, as you're skeletal... obviously not Weeksy's, as we can see he has his hands full with Weeksy ...

Nah......
......I'm looking for a wheelie monster that'll leave darkies out of Clearways!!!!

..........Thanks Weeksy - I'll probably bung a 14 tooth on the front and see how it goes, I've got the quick change rear setup too, so it should be fun!!!!

Just wondered if the 998S/R boys changed the gearing as a first mod, as it should be done on all 996s!!!

Come one, come all........
......the beast won't be unleashed until the new year, probably May and the CSS. That's when I'll have all the mods sorted!!

In the meantime, I'll be collecting gravel on the R6 later this month at Brands and maybe next month at Cadwell!!!
