Sorry if this sounds cheeky.

Is there anyone in the South East (i live near Windsor) that would be kind enough to lend me the use of a front paddock stand that fits a 748 that would allow me to get the forks off while i get the seals changed , sorry if this sounds a bit cheeky but funds are a bit tight at the moment to buy one.

CAn't help you mate... but i know a man who can.... Can do it any Sat evening.... long as the seals are done by Sun night so i can get the stand back to him for work Monday AM.

front stand may not help unless it sits under the headstock?? I put a trolley jack under the engine and suspended from the rafters in my garage to do mine

Thanks for the offer mate but i'm probaly gonna need it for a few days as i'm taking the legs into PDQ to service them and change the seals.May go down the stapping from the roof idea but not sure how strong the roof is .

I usually just hang mine from the roof using a ratchet strap with a rope backup. Almost any ratchet strap will hold 200kg.

Thanks very much for the offer really appriciate it, i've done it now she's hanging from the roof , and the forks went into PDQ today .

Dave i see your in Carterton is that the one in Oxfordshire? if so have you lived there long ?
