DUCATI UK -- FANTASTIC SERVICE

Recently did spain trip and had to have battery replaced by ducati dealership in santander (through ducati spain)

they blamed meta alarm and because its a non ducati item (even though fitted when bought) had to pay 142 euro bill.
ducati spain would not budge ( don't think they use alarms like we do)

when i got back i contacted ducati uk via e mail with copy of bill attached..

Had a letter through today --

"with ref to e mail to ducati uk customer services regarding your bike.
your comments have been passed for my attention.

i am sorry to hear of the problems you have experienced and for the undoubted inconvenience caused as a result.

please find enclose with this letter purely as a gesture of goodwill a cheque for £98.53 to cover cost of battery replacement.
thank you for your co-operation and continued support of our product"

what great service

thank you very much ducati uk

good old Iain to the rescue eh?

He's a lovely guy (and not so old really! ) - he was so helpful to AK when he was building the tri-colour, with wiring pics & layouts etc.

Iain's a legend, couldn't be more helpful if he tried. Top result, and rightly deserved too.

I agree after several weeks of batting e mails back and forth DUK have advised me that my clutch pack was faulty and that it should have been changed by the dealer. I am expecting a repayment and an apology, I havent got it yet but assuming the dealer coughs up and apologises well done Iain.
