Cool Flushing out needed for carbs or overkill? (post rebuild)

Just checking something on the board as well but...

Just rebuilt my gas tank so I'm not worried about the tank at all.

However, before hibernating my bike, I did drain the fuel off by taking the drain screws out of the float bowls.

So - any needs to flush the bowls again or is this overkill?

Frank

I'd say just go for it, no need to flush. Fill the tank, turn the ignition on and wait a couple of minutes for the fuel pump to spread its goodness through the carbs and fuel lines.

As you drained it there wont be any residue left in the carbs or bad fuel.

Good advice my friend but , I went for it and fired him up this morning anyway (even just through header pipes only).

New battery and fuel filter mods work a treat - 3rd stab of the starter and there was life...yipeee!
