chain removal

Hello

looking for some advice, I need to replace my cush bushes,
and have followed the bible, but for the life of me can not get the chain off the sprockets.

Have had the bike on a stand then off, adjusted the concentric hub, I can even move the sprocket and chain to the edge of the spindle, but still no joy.

I done this years ago, and I am sure there was a special/secret way of getting the chain off.

Help . . .

Oh and all needs to go back on, so do not want to split the chain.

regards

Hello AGE996

thanks mate, maybe I need some sleep, working nights,
then working on the bike, is starting to take it toll.

spent 5 mins looking for the socket, only to find it under my feet.

things maybe alot clearer tomorrow.

regards
