Try an Amazon search for Ducati books - they've got plenty:

Ducati Info

Hi,

With regard to SPS's,yes can find that for you. Any particular year? 996SPS or 916SPS?
This is a pretty comprehensive history up to the 996R of 2001.
Even tells you exactly howmany of each model were made:

Ducati books

For a good pictoral history there is "Ducati Superbikes" by Paolo Conti. It covers the 851,888 and 916.
Another good one is "Ducati 4 valve twins" by Mick Walker.
The best one tho,is "Ducati Desmoquatro Super bikes" by Ian Falloon.Loads of info, production runs, model changes etc.

2000 SPS, for the UK only. 40 were made in 1999 am 80 in 2000.
For Europe 314 in 1999 and 261 in 2000.

Smilo/Ian

I have ordered the books but still await delivery.

If only so few 996sps's were made where did the Italian logic start the numbering from as mine is a year 2000, number 1331

916 info

For 916 history and full production figures try "Ducati 916" by Ian Falloon (2001), published by Haynes Publishing, ISBN 1 85960 689 X.

Incidentally, I am looking for a copy of "Ducati Twins Restoration Guide:Bevel Twins 1971-1985" by the same author, which is no longer available from Haynes, if anyone has one.
