really fancy doing those but out both nights before so would be wobbling round more than normal! wil be looking at plenty in jan/feb/march after xmax drinking and falling over is out of the way.

Certainy sounds more appealing than Brands in December, but you never know I've done a nice dry warm day at Mallory on Dec 18th a couple of years ago, only real problem was the low sun at the end of the afternoon, you couldn't see the bike in front of you. Still the crash didn't hurt and the 916 was a easy repair.
