145mph-- Hon..hon..hon..unrecognised word 160+mph in a Shappire cosworth, which had been breathed op on by a guy who was working for mountune preparing fords WRC cars at the time.
Had the 998 off the clock with wheelspin and sparkin trying to keep with a TVR he pulled away must of been doing 190+,also been 170 on a ZZR1100 and 160 in a Porshe 993 which I must say on the twisties you would have a job to stay with it .
tescos shopping trolleys arent the best for speed ok they are extremely reliable but in my experience if you dont pack them properly this will in fact effect the handling with almost catastrophic events taking place the wieght distribution must be equal on all four wheels as there is limited compression /rebound settings and no preload or damping preset but once the fine art of tuning the packing is achieved speeds in excess of 25mph are safely attainable as long as the white lines in the tescos race tracks are avoided at all costs -the tyres are made from a hard acrylic compound which are fine for long distance touring but are not made for sprints to the car as enough heat cannot be put into them to attain any grip what so ever in such a short time--one mod that can be successfull is the wheels from a marks and sparks trolley (softer compound) can be modded on to thee more robust tescos chassis
no cans of alchol was ill treated whilst typing this post
Those speeds werent held too long..but the best fun I had was running my wife to hospital when her waters broke !!! An indicated 140mph in my celica for about 5 minutes at 2 in the morning on a dual carriageway..felt fantastic !!
