Fil2's 583 Championship Thanks and Retirement

After 9 wins 2 seconds and a 3rd i have Lifted the Class B 583 Championship.

Its been a great year of racing for me, with great battles with 583's and 620's, mentions to Woods,Roberts and Payne who have kept me honest all year.
I wont be racing the 583 at Cadwell so good luck to you all in your final races.

Thanks to : -

Nelly at cornerspeed for stripping and rebuilding the 583...I have thrashed the life outa the bike 100% of the time all the time and it has performed without a single problem. Its a testament to Neils skill in putting together Championship winning bike. Thanks Neil

Tim, my Cornerspeed teammate has offered me tactical, mental and friendship throughout the year. I could not have done it without your support. Thanks Tim

Most of all to Kelly and fordie who have been by my side in the 2 years i have been racing..supported me in everyway without them i could not have done any of it...im sure they are tired of me talking DD..LOL....you guys make it worthwhile.

lastly to all the DD guys in the paddock....its a great place and the support / comradre is exactly what the dd is about. Mentions to Dom,Chass,Ali,Tony,Lu,Karen all the peeps basically......Weeksy for offering me support behind the scenes 24/7..thanks man

Thanks for it all

lastly......I wish Kelly the best of luck for her 583 debut at Cadwell....

Been a pleasure to follow in your tyre tracks...albeit from a long way back I'm sure you'll be awesome on the 620 next year too Well done Champ.

Thumbs up Very well done !!

Well done Phil, on to bigger and better things perhaps.

As an outsider looking in you appear (to me anyway) to embody the true spirit of DD and are a notable and enthusiastic ambassador for the series.

ps ... good luck Kelly, hopefully Brenda and I will be at Cadwell to cheer you on and the rest of the DD gang.

I think you should reconsider - you've clearly under-achieved in 583, - 2nd and 3rd places!!! - get a life!!

You should refocus your efforts, stay in 583 and not make the big jump to 620 until you've won every round!!!

Power is nothing without control

Nice one
Tim

Why couldn't you have retired before the FIRST Cadwell round?

I think any of those of us with aspirations to be at the Class B sharp end will be the first to say that it has been your consistancy and determination on top of the obvious skill, which have made you a worthy Champion.

I for one look forward to renewing the competition next year in Class A........

Hah !
A Rattler Rattled !

An unforgettable year Phil. Respect.
I just wish I'd had a chance to see you on the track more often.
Just when I start to ride the 620 fast enough to keep up with you on the 583, you get an even faster bike

Nice on buddy, really enjoyed chasing you all year....

Absolute consitently quick, from the go, every track every race, you have ridden a faultless 2006 race season, no off's or moments, and it's not been 'easy' for you. From this inconsistently, erratic, competitor, following you has been a good lesson.

Pleasure to watch and learn.

Let's get it on next year then....

Congrats Phil, excellent riding all year.

It's just a shame that now I've finally managed to get you behind me in the races, you're about to come and get in the way again!
