Mood: Flange - it's a state of mind....
Pirelli Supercorsa pros 190/55
Anyone tried these on a 996/8??
Thinking of trying out a pair of the street compound tyres - but would like to know how the impact is of the higher tyre on the handling - that's about 9.5m higher which sounds like a lot to me!
Mood: R U thinking what I'm thinking?......Oh dear!
9.5m
That some sort of monster truck not a Ducati
I take it you mean 9.5mm is that overall height of the tyre or 9.5mm taller profile. I'd guess the former?? If its the latter you might well have some clearance problems if you ahve a hugger.
A 190/55 is a the best sized tyre on a 6 inch rim.
Anything narrower and you will be better suited to a 180/55.
The 190/55 on a 6 inch rim will give you a similar turn in rate to those who fit a 180/55 to a 5 or 5.5 inch rim.
I'm on the lookout myself for a rear in a 190/55 to go on my 6inch mag...the new pirelli diablo coras III's look like they may well come in that size and be just the ticket.
the 190/55 is a fantastic tyre. it grip's like a cow pat on your mums favourite sheep skin rug I have been using a rensport. and I love them. I will never go back to a 180

Must agree, I run a 190/55 renny on the rear. But my rear rim is 5.75 wide so I may not be getting the full benefit?
