Hi dan,

I know of a 748SP has been down the road, Very slight damage. Full working order, alarmed full service. The bike is based in slough. I will try to get some pictures if you want. the owner lives in france/swizterland and doesn't use it anymore.

thanks for those who have u2ud me. i probably should've said in the original post that i am looking at buying a bike for around £2500, which rules out a number of very good value -but beyond my budget - offers that i have had. Clearly this is very much the bottom end price wise, but have seen a number of bikes advertised for around this budget or less. obviously you get what you pay for so i am not expecting anything more than a 'project' for that sort of money.

should be viable Dan, but expect it to need a service when it arrives.

Anything that has been "down the road" should be looked at VERY carefully.

BIG END BEARINGS are usually "down the road" which costs big ££££££££££ to fix!

Good luck!

good point khushy

you maybe better buying something a little bit tidier for a few extra quid with a bit of history as you'd save the money in the long room

good luck in your search and wait for the right bike to come along

The one i mentioned is all running and on the road. it's just that he has bought a Gixer and can not keep two bikes on the road.
