tank swapping

Ok folks, is it easy to swap my tank and pump for another?

I have a new spare set for the track, but you all know how crap I am mechanically and I want to know whether I should give it a go or just find a nice bloke who is willing to help

Probably in the same situation. Procedure would be appreciated (weeksy). Have the hammer ready.

Oh god

I can't do that

Thanks Kev and Steve, but i just don't think me (or my nails) are up for that at the moment.

Oh well, guess the track days will have to wait until I have the confidence to give it a go

Send me the tank, o-ring and pump and I will fit it, or I could sell you a yella 996 tank with a small dent and a couple of scuffs with a pump in it?

If you want a laugh read my bit in the last pronto mag, you will know where the scuffs and dint came from then!

Funnily enough I refitted pump assembly to my newly resprayed tank last night. It really is awkward as it tends to twist as it goes in. Plus there's a surprising amount of rust about in the flange / tank base. Today put some petrol in & started it up. No oil or water leaks but petrol everywhere.
Off to Ducati Glasgow tomorrow for new O-ring.
