M&P Tyre sale + a Pirelli Question
Nice sale from the nice peeps at M&P

Pirelli Diablo Corsa Tyre Pairs £179.00

120/70-17 & 180/55-17

Pirelli Diablo Corsa Tyre Pairs £184.00

120/70-17 & 190/55-17

and here a link to the page:
Tyre Sale

But - what the difference between Diablo Corsa's and Supercorsa's ????

Time for a phone call to Pirelli I think

Cheers - Frank

Frank besides the price difference I think you will find the Diablo Corsa has a tread thaat goes to the edge and is more suitable than the super corsa. As soon as I got the email from M&P I was contemplating buying a couple of sets and try them on the race bike, will certainly be trying them on a trackday.

Wasn't Mike Davis at Robsom Racing doing these at a better price than £178?

Yep Mike did say he could do a very good price on them and I wouldn't go to M&P without trying Mike first. Just that the M&P email reminded me about getting some.

I phoned Mike and had a chat with the guy for ages about all sorts of stuff. He's swayed me away from Supercorsa's until I get a spare pair of wheels sorted so, I think I'll be going just for the Diablo Corsa.

Mike did talk me into some Bendix front brake pads that he recommends and is doing quite cheaply.

He will also be riding with us at Cadwell I gather and will be bringing a small selection of tyres / spares with him.

Good Bloke !!!!

Somewhere I saw Michelin Pilot Race tyres advertised at £120 a set! A choice of compounds too. If I could only remember where I saw it!

I know some people don't like them for the road because they are a bit slippy when cold and take a long time to warm up. But, I've used them on the track plenty with tyre wamers and they are ace, IMO.
