Dont get me wrong, I`d be quite happy with a 999R Fila Rep.

But the 999 just is`nt the true successor to the 916, if anything is, its the MV F4.

But the 1098 is very nice and I cant wait to see one on the track in race trim...

180bhp for the road going `R` and an easy 210bhp in track trim. WOW!!!!

They are saying the standard 1098 is 160bhp and it out-drags a Gixxer Thou.

Cant wait to ride one!!!

160 at the wheel or at the crank?

160 at the crank is about 140 at the wheel - ok but nothing special.

160 at the wheel means 180 at the crank, which I just don't believe from a 1100 cc twin.

My 998R had 140'ish at the wheel in standard trim, surely they've moved on from there?!

Ducati made a bid deal of making some large performance gains, so I'd be surprised if these weren't 'at the wheel' figures.

MCN does not say whether it is at the crank or wheel....
