if you emigrate to NZ you will find the most amazing roads amongst alot of other things - i did the reverse.. sort of spent most of my life in NZ officially getting my bike license at 15, though getting a bit of practice in first. Just imagine scotland/wales/south of france and italy rolled into one, but someone left all the people out....sounds good?? Last time i was back there is a big enduro fraternity and the spectacular scenery and loads of good dirt roads that you are allowed(encouraged) to use mean that it is worth doing - i did an enduro week in Andorra which was brilliant, but a good enduro bike in NZ would be a whole lot of fun. Ducati's are highly revered and quite rare so take it with you. Cops...now that is what you have to watch out for - here having GATSO's are great / in NZ and Oz too they are mostly speed traps with hand held guns operated by...well lets say they can be over zealous. The good thing is that oncoming traffic WILL ALWAYS flash their lights to warn you - don't get this mixed up with "g'day mate", "let you in" or any other courteous signal it is "speed trap ahead". Iam going back at Xmas (with family) for hols - if you want any info U2U me |
