Its about for me as to why some parts are not affected by salt and some are. Ive had 2 new Dukes now and both got same salt corrosion on same bits like banjo ends on the brake lines are no longer shiny just that dull horrible grey and the zinc coated bolts any thing thats in the path of spray from wheels gets it!

With my S4r been cleaing it lots and used the Scottoiler stuff to seems to work well but not on brakes obviously

i use the scottoiler FS 365 anti corosion spray, great stuff !!!
