I have used these to mount a Garmin Sat nav to my 748 using a longer steering damper bolt.

I've got the RAM mount for my GPS thingy and its sound, RAM also do a camera attachment that just screws into the tripod thread on the bottom of most cameras.

Mood: need a bike...
if you have a DV in socket on your camera then don't bother with a camera mount, just look to buy a bullet camera (Sony) that will plug into your camera. These are small enough to velcro into position anywhere on the bike & the kit comes complete with a microphone & a remote push button switch for stop/start/pause/battery warning & tape warning.
Pic quality is superb, no vibration / picture hop and I've got awesome footage from the rear seat hump looking back, rear hugger looking back, thru the fairing (+ clocks), side fairing looking forward etc...
Oh yeah they cost a couple of hundred quid - which is nothing when you get a 'stealth' camera that plugs into your main camcorder - I always put my camcorder into my bumbag.
cheers

Neil
