Yellow 749 with
Hi, new here well not technically I was on this site about 18 months ago when I had a 916, been searching for a 996 SPS but couldnt find anything( in my price) so I got a great deal on a 2003 749 S so I thought oh buy it, so I did.
I dont get it till next Tuesday as they are doing a 20000 km service and check on it which they are paying for I also got a £ 500 check to buy what I want with SO are there any of you guys or gals with a YELLOW 749 999 that can send me a pic or post them on here for me so I can see what looks good BEFORE I spend my money, mostly interested in which colours of pressure plates look the best on a YELLOW bike.
Last question are the ÖHLINS from a 748,916 ect fit on the newer models ??
Thanks, HELLO and drinks are on me, you just have to fly or take a boat to SWEDEN

Hello...

Don't think the Ohlins would fit if I am honest, the spindle size is different from memory, plus maybe things like brake offset etc.

Pressure plate, get a nice gold one, looked good on a yellow 748R

Welcome by the way, I'll have a Red Bull and Vodka pleeeeeez

I'm ordering a gold pressure plate soon - I reckon that's the only one that'll look good on a yellow bike...

Someone here said a "BLUE " one looks good
Maybe as the swedish colours are yellow and blue! Has anyone seen a yellow bike with a blue pressure plate?

I prefer the subtle approach. Silver pressure plate with black cover looks good.

JPM - careful what you're saying:-
Primrose and blue (yellow and blue to you uninitiated) is colours of Warrington Wolves rugby league.
And they're only a short way down the road from you Jon.
