Preparation for Brands?

How'z the preparation going folks?

I've done my usual shameful lack of preparation;

Checked oil; NEGATIVE
Checked tyre-pressures (still on originals!!!); NEGATIVE
Cleaned machine; NEGATIVE
LOOKED at machine; Did so only whilst loading and un-loading it from the van on the way to my wedding!
Track-day at Brands; WATCHED the Dave Harris Memorial.

There...shocking.

However...despite running nothing more than standard gearing all season I would like to try some different gearing at Brands as everyone seems to swear by it!

Now, bearing in mind that I am both a tight-arse and v.poor after getting hitched to the lovelly Becci a week ago last Saturday (many of you will have met her wandering round the paddock)....HERE'S THE RUB;

Can anyone lend me a 43-tooth rear sprocket?

I promise I'll look after it!

Regards, and good luck to all DDers on Sunday!

I think 41 is standard gearing, isn't it? If that is indeed the case then that is what's on #99 already!

Gawd, how can I go through an entire season's racing without twiddling with ANYTHING....I'm not a propper racer!

Soory Andy can't lend you my 43 at the moment as it is option 1 for Brands with a 42 as option 2. For BB bikes I would suspect you would be looking at either a 42 or a 41.

Phil...you're asking the wrong man....do you honestly think I've removed the front sprocket cover to reveal the number of teeth? Of course not...but I'm assuming that there is an original 14-tooth jobbie there

42...43...does it really make much difference?

Skids...I'd always swallow my pride and have your No 2 "cast-off"
