Just realised from the diameter of the swingarm pivot just how early a 750SS you have there
Although most of what I can see now looks like new

Yeh, bought a bench grinder, some wheels for the drill and a dremel

They gets things shiny

Once everything is put together I can take it all apart and fix what I don't like, get things anodised, frame welded and powdercoated (as mentioned) etc

Still not sure about the colour scheme, so its an opportunity to see whether I want to change any of the colours

As I have to strip the forks, are there any useful mods to do, its not a track bike and certainly won't be thrashed

Also the engine, different filter etc

Anything worth considering or absolutely necessary?

Update 25 Jan 2012

Been a bit busy but things have moved forward a bit now

All the bolts and stuff have been cleaned up before deciding the colour to use

Held up by one strap

I am going to make a new seat

I have a better idea of what I need to do now

Looks like you could do with some rearsets, maybe I should delve into my spares box

I probably have most of that, as I am selling my road kit from my 620 monster. PM me what you need and I'll have a look

Lots of interest in Cafe racers in the USA these days:

Built by:

Think I prefer the high pipe bike myself:
