what a day, saw some great racing. very impressed with the standard the 'not for points' race 3 was a blast to watch, very impressed by ali with a couple of very smooth passes on he brakes into the hairpin.
and from another spectator-- brilliant entertainment you guys-well worth the 500 mile round trip-can we do it all again next week!!!much better than watching that rossi bloke for 22 laps in the rain yawn!!!!!!! met up with a few DSC'ers that i already know but maybe introduce meself to a few more of you in the forthcoming events- i hope paynep and skidlids get there brakes sorted for castle combe
Top Quality entertainment, my round trip was less than 70 miles, but I paid my 12 quid to get in, and was not disappointed, (apart from the sparse grids for all the other races). Well done to all organisers and competitors for making it happen with true Ducati style.
Definitely worth the trip out and the noise as 30 Ducati,s thundered towards the first hairpin nearly brought a tear to my eye . Well done all , you where all winners in my opinion
We had a brilliant day out on Sunday. Took the family, my lad left with a yearning to "have a go" - not sure if that is good or bad (potentially bad for my wallet perhaps!).
His observation was - The DD races were more like "sound of thuder" than the SoT. He has a point ... sounded fantastic. Some good competitve racing in the DD too. Well done to all for makign it happen.
Mood: R U thinking what I'm thinking?......Oh dear!
Best races of the day. The first half dozen or so looked very good, only one orange bib amongst them though. The winner looked super smooth in both races. Loads of battles down the field and most racers seem to have got bitten by the bug.
There was a big variation in speed out there and it wasn't just down to the bikes.
As a very interested spectator I don't get all this "works" bike and "big bore" hot air. If someone has built a bike that complies with the letter of regs then thats good enough??? Gentlemans ( and ladies) agreements in racing at any level??You're having a larf?? What next retrospectively ban carbon bodywork, testing/track days before meetings, peeps who have done CSS, expensive engine oil, new tyres, dealer supported entries, "blueprinted" motors, ohlins suspension, where does it all end??
