Pembry Confused.com

I thought I was having a bad test day on Friday with times a second off what I have done previously on the Pirelli Diablos two years ago on the 620

But come the race days things got worse as I lost the best part of another 2 seconds.

The Dyno run showed it had nowt to do with the power of the engine

Brakes didn't quite feel right so they will be looked at before Cadwell and I may look at respringing the rear shock to see if that offers an improvemnet

Generally I just look for KevP coming by as this tends to be within .001 of the lights going out!!

Skids, I would say that kind of confidence loss can only come from the front end, why not give the forks an overhaul?
My rear shocks rebound is a bit bust and it doesn't recover how it should but doesn't really fuss me but probably makes the tyres work harder. However given my riding style if the front was a bit off I think I would end up a lot off (the track)!

Very true chaz, all my timesheets with 1m 10s or better are pre 2010 which means they were pre my 50th

Hugh you may well be right and a set of 85nM linear fork springs are on the shopping list, but I'm not sure the pogressive rear spring is the best option so may look to changing to single rate rear spring

Something was right about the 583 in 2005 as I was getting that around Pembrey in 1m 10s and in 2009 I did 1m 10s in the very first session of the Friday practice day. I can't believe its the tyres as they seem better than ever.

Still not getting on to well with the 6-Speed engine I fitted last year as I keep trying to gear it so as I only use 5 gears.

Luckily Bike number 2 is under construction using the 5-speed motor and can be used as a test bed

I figure that sometimes you spend all your time thinking about these things and that affects your riding too. Change what you want to reeassure yourself.
