Dream bike spotted - 996 SPS with 897 miles !!!!

Just been into motorapido to check out xmas ideas and they were just wheeling in my dream bike...

2000 996 SPS, Ohlins model, 987 miles ! its better than new, lots of carbon everywhere and simply perfect.

Dont want to start that old debate again, but it was in the workshop next to a 999R and 749R and it STILL looks the best bike ever!

They are selling it on commision for a collector who has been keep it in an aircon'd garage and only taken it out to get it serviced (some people have all the luck / money!)

time for a second job!

I was thinking the same - I've already covered 6500 from new since February 2005. Was gonna go for a blast today but it is FREEEEEEEEEEEZING & damp here!

Might just sit on it for an hour...

Aye, it looks a bit of a bargain. God bless these "collector" types because it means guys lke me get a bit of a bargain now and then

.. phoned and spoke to the shop after checking out their website and spying a nice bike. Seemed like a fairly good bunch. Anyone had dealings with MotoRapido and able to comment on the service they received from the sales staff/servicing?

I'm remaining impartial but nice to hear feedback on dealers as i'll probably not visit unless i decide this is DEFINATELY the bike for me.

Mood: excited about the changes made to averysmotorcycles.co.uk that are coming up
ive delt with motorapido before and they've been very freindly and helpful on the phone. i made a trip from cornwall to see them when i was looking for my ducati but no-one came over to say hello and ask what i was looking for,bit disappointing but maybe the sales guys not very pushy !!

now i own a ducati they've been fine when ive ordered stuff from them
