998 fan problem ?????
Ok I managed to get hold of a 998 fan. Ran a test with it tonight but found the following issues.

Turn ignition on fan runs for approx 1 second (weird)
Run bike up to and past temp and nothing happens until I disconnect the temp sensor plug and then the fan runs but won't switch off even when cool.

I know the fan is controlled by the ecu but I was wondering if having a none 998 ecu remapped for the 998 would affect the fan circuit?

Think I might just hard wire it with the old 996 fan switch in place LOL

Only one fan Neil, my 998s have two fans and they come on at different points from what I recall, haven't run them properly for a while now, try plugging it into the other fan connector

Will do Kev. I had read about the fans operating at two different temps.

I'll check what temp the fans come on for you - and it shouldn't make any difference with your ECUs as they're reflashed rather than remapped, so identical to off-the-shelf Ducati ECUs

I've checked all the software revisions and they all say that Fan 1 is 101 and Fan 2 is 102.
I know that sounds like not very much difference between the two, which is why I checked all versions I have (about 6) but that's what they all say!

Tried the other side Kev and the fan is just on all the time as if it's hot or something. It's now hard wired through the old 996 fan switch and works fine. Still would like to find the issue though.

Neil, I take it you did change the 996 thermal switch in the water system for the thermal sensor (thermistor)used on the 998s
