If they have good riders on them, they will be a force to be reckoned with..they are absolute ROCKET ships in comparision to other dd bikes..more like a 800ss than a 620........

Even standard m8..they ARE still rocket ships....a 620 is not a 620 when its a sorted prepped 620

yeah i recon you're right to be fair. be interesting to see if i can go quicker next year! bike will be prepped better and so will i hopefully.

looking to find 2.5 seconds! more chance of finding rocking horse s**t probably.

i know i wont realistically get that; but reach for the stars etc.........................

2.5 seconds isn't that much to be found at our level - you should be able to find it.

i disagree dickie......u are more expereinced..you by your own admission have the bike sorted....you now know all the tracks and have race experience...u seem more in the zone mentally...combine all these factors and you will find better lap times easily........i dont think you can put a figure to it but 100% you will improve your lap times.........

...........but what is "standard" ??

Is the cam timing being returned to +/- 8 degress of anywhere, is the squish being put back to 1/2"..............

The reason those bikes were "rocket ships" is that they were prepped and built to perfection and that's the key to finding the last 10% out of these motors.
I know who built them and know that they were 100% within the rules of DD, as DLS had instructed them to built them that way.
Cam timing, squish, compression all count for a lot in how the motor makes it's power, not just how much it makes.

I've heard a rumour that something may have been added post build, but it wouldn't have generated anymore bhp.

There were several bikes that matched them on bhp but they had a very strong mid range and that counts for a lot.
