| Sunday Joke
A couple are sitting in a country pub having a quiet lunch. Suddenly a guy sitting nearby calls over to them.
"Hey", he says, pointing out the window,"See that cottage over there I built it with me bare hands. You'd think they'd call me Jones the Builder wouldn't ya?"
The couple shrug and say "Yes, I guess no."
A few minutes elapse and Jones calls out to them again."
"You see the church and the surrounding cottages.Well, I built them too with me bare hands. Don't ya think I'd be called Jones the Builder?"
The couple look up and reply "Yes, that sounds reasonable to us" and carry on eating.
After another few minutes Jones pipes up again.
"In fact I built three quarters of the cottages in this whole village. Surely I should be called "Jones the Builder?"
"Yes, most certainly, we would think so." comes the reply.
"Ay that ye would" Jones says sadly " but you sh*g just one fooking sheep...." |
