A mate of mine is having some of thoes BST Carbon wheels fitted to his Blade.
My question is I have original Marchensinis on my 996R. Would there be a dramatic difference in weight etc if mine were to be fitted with the BST Carbon wheels, or would the weight difference be negligable.
They would weigh a lot less. If you've got the cash - go for it.
I reckon you'd be better off getting the 10 spoke magnesium ones, which are a lot lighter than standard and not much heavier than the BSTs, and then spending the grand you'd save on some other performance mods.
Mood: R U thinking what I'm thinking?......Oh dear!
shazaams post, or at least one of 'em mentioend amd listed tyre weights. In effect you get free lightweight wheels if tou change from the heaviest tyre to the lightest!
I vaguely recall that the lightest road tyres were Pirelli supacorsas?
Oh god, wouldnt want that happening to me. May just have to travel in front of mates Blade when he has his fitted. Although he feels he has done his homework. He says the BST wheels are fit for road use. Thanks guys. The great debate continues.
