Rear Axle

Hi,
Just a small question...
The rear axle on my 1000SSDS has a nut both sides.
There are no locking devices to secure these nuts (eg split pin etc)
On all my previous bikes, I always had a locking device. (In fact the MOT examiner insisted they were fitted!)

I guess it is safe or Ducati wouldnt of done it, but
1. is there a drilled axle avaialble to allow fitting of pins?
2. Will the MOT examiner question it? (Coming up to three years old.)

It wont be a problem - like you say there would be one there if it needed it.
Mine has never loosened off at all.

Nice engines those DS1000s
