Why do I ask................

................because yesterday afternoon, driving into London on the A4 I stopped at the traffic lights at the junction with Warwick Road.

In the westbound lane of the A4, at the traffic lights indicating to turn right was a BMW 5 series silver and red Metropolitan Police car. Sidelights and powerful front foglights ablaze. The two Policemen sat in their car, waiting for the traffic lights chatting away happily.

The angle of their car was such that it was pointing into Warwick Road, at angle of about 45% degrees to oncoming traffic, so anyone, such as me for instance , caught the full glare of these lights. What amazes me is how piercing and bright they are even on a bright sunny afternoon like yesterday!!!

And...........if what you say is correct Antony................then the lights can't have been left on accidentally.

I dunno...........makes yer wonder.
