intermitant hard starting
Get ya think caps on boys!
Have had the ST4s up and running for about 2 months now has been running really strong except twice now when i hve been riding i have stopped and started a few times then all of a sudden when i go to start it , it will crank fire then die and just crank over ...the first time i left it for a couple of minutes then tried again no luck , after doing this for 3 -4 times it fired and i just held it wide open reving to about 7thousand and it stayed running.
today though it just would fire so i held it wide open and cranked it for about 40 seconds and she fired.
I pulled the fuel pump out and checked for split fuel hoses but all was good as was the fuel filter....???????????
HELP!
Cheers mark

Could be the fuel pump relay Mark, it's under the seat by the tool carrier box. There are 2 relays and the fueling relay is the left hand one-at least it is on my '4S. You won't like the other alternative which is a ECU fault, that's what my problems turned out to be in the end.
How's it back home in NZ, weather nice and warm?

John
