Thanks for the info. Can I tell by looking down the filler cap if its already been done, as far as I know this engine has been run with these carbs and tank for some time. Although it hasn't been rum for a couple of years.
Been looking through forum, in one post it mentioned a pressure regulator.

Done a bit more reading, not sure the fuel pipes are attached correctly to the tank. Is there a pic / drawing anywhere of the underside of tank?
