head light adjustment after ride height change

Hi peeps

I was out last night, got on to an unlit road and realised my full beam had trouble projecting more than 20m. I've never ridden so slowly in my life
I've put this down to the ride height being change by several cm(at the wheel) .
I'm stripping the head fairing to get to the adjustment screw but I need to know where the pattern should start.
The bike is pointed at a wall about 3m away atm, should the top of the light pattern start at just under horizontal to the top of the headlight when off the centre stand?

Do you have your owners manual??
In mine, it gives the beam setting details on page 58/59....
Basically, for dip beam the bike is parked 10m from a wall.
Take the height of your head lampc entre from the floor.
The cutoff of the beamon the wall is 90% of the height of the lamp centreline so if the lamp is1 m high, a 90cm line 10m away on the wall is your aim mark for dip beam.
Once dip is set, main should be ok too.
Does that make sense???
Hope it does... if not, drop me a line & I'll send you a copy of the pages.
Andy
