ST4s vs. 1000 DS

I took my ST4s to the dealers today for a couple of things to be checked so I'm riding the Multistrada demonstrator for a couple of days. I've fancied one of these since they came out so I'm pleased to have ridden it, however I'm a bit dissapointed.

The turn in is very sharp but I can't get to grips with the cornering technique. I want to hang off it but it looks a bit silly and I think I should stick my leg out motocross stylie instead.

I'm not so happy about the top end though. It seems to run out of puff around 95 (although it gets there plenty quick!). I also feel like a wind sock when it wound up on the dual carriageway.

I think I'll wait untill they put a 996 engine in it and a taller screen.

110/120 mph comes up quick enough, but then you've got to work really hard to get it upto near 140mph.

Considerably slower than ST4S.

Defo needs a higher screen, handling is good when you get used to treating it like a big supermoto.

996 now that sounds like a great idea.

Now I've tried it down some country lanes and used a bit of counter steering. That's more like it!
