998S Stutter between 2.5K & 5K rpm

My 998S has developed a stutter between 2.5k & 5K rpm

Happens on open & constant throttle - okay before & after....

All electrical system short of replacing the loom has been checked - all fine

Just had a 12k service etc

Bit gutted as can't take to Park Algar now as needs to be dropped off on Sunday

Any ideas.......

Thx in advance

Stutter

Had a similar problem on 996 last year and finally tracked it down to a split in the rubber fuel line directly after the pump. This means going into the tank but you can combine it with a fuel filter change which is how I found the problem.

Hope this helps.

wouldnt fuel filter chnage be part of a 12k service? in which case maybe moving things made it worse

Good suggestion! This reminds me of a chat I had with Ducati John the other week as he was sorting a 996 or similar with just that problem at the time. Apparently it is quite common and is only a 20 minute job to fix.
