REALLY STUPID QUESTION...clutch lever removal

I know I know Iknow, stupid question, but rather than bugger it up I thought I would ask....

How in the name of Kazan do you get the clutch lever off ??

Normally I would try and prize something out of something until something comes off something else, (It works on a VTR) but I really dont want to mess it up.

Before anyone says but the manual, I will ,I will, but I want to do it first thing, before I get roped into stripping bloody wallpaper....(earning goody points for Sunday)

Stupid question I know, but hey, if ya dont ask.....

Geoff M

not too proud to ask....(actually she what must be obeyed says I better ask before I break it again...

.. you don't mention the model you own so I'll hazzard a guess it's a 916? There should be a flat hexagon washer under the clutch pivot which you'll need to unscrew. When that's off then gently tap the pivot bolt out. All being well the lever should be free and you can ease it out.
