Hi all those far more experienced than me.....

I've recently sold the carbon hugger, an got hold of a carbon swingarm guard, and a carbon chain guard with brake cable attachment..

Unfortunately the lower allen screw doesn't match up within the swingarm guard. Ive recently purchased a dremel, now will this cut through the carbon swingarm guard with out damaging,or will it chip and flake??

hopefully answers will be positive and easy....

you can cut carbon with the dremel, but take your time, get used to how the tool works, dont go passed the stated operating speeds for what ever bit you use. good tool but does need a bit of practise to get right.

Use the tool so that the blade or "whatever" is cutting in to the top surface of the carbon and exiting on the back. That way any "spelch" or flakes will be on the back sidce of the carbon and not seen .... just like cutting or drilling wood.

And put some plastercine undeneath so you dont cut your self

A volunteer with a vacuum is handy as you cut the carbon, make sure that you dispose of the bag ASAP

Mmmmm, not so sure on this one. Carbon dust is abrasive and not good in vacuum cleaners. Do it outside and let nature take care of the dust as there should not be too much from what bit of work you have to do.

Well the dremel cut went well, actually it was a piece of cake! Should be really, as it was a brand new dremel. All's fitted well, and managed to stay out of the carbon dust.. Cheers to those who gave the advise...
