Question voltage adapter ?

I am taking my bike to europe for a couple of months and wish to use my optimate whilst its garaged so the problem i have is optimate 240 volts supply 110 volts is there a voltage converter you can use ? i aint a leckky!...thanks

I dont think you will have a problem with the voltage you will just need a travel type adapter to allow you to plug your three pin plug into a continental type socket.

yeah, you won't have a problem. Just get one of those travel adaptors from Boots or Maplin - should be less than a fiver.

Surely if you are taking the bike to europe , are you not going to be using it, instead of locking it in a garage!!!

Hi Stephen,
I dont quite understand what you are saying. Our mains are in fact 230 volts (stepped down from 240) Mainland Europe is also 230 (stepped up from 220 to bring conformity). 110 volts (dropped down from 230 volts by a transformer)are only used in workshops building sites etc for safety as 110 volts would never kill you. So all you need is a pin adapter as the voltage will be the same.
