Magnesium Wheels - WOW, what a difference

Finally got myself a pair of Marchesini mags (from Jasper) and really wasn't sure how much of a difference I should expect to see in the speed of the steering. Well, all I can say is WOW.

I was at the best place to check them out...Cadwell Park. Probably the circuit I know best so a good place for comparison. I'd only put the wheels on the night before so had not even ridden the bike until I sat on it to go down to the holding area for my first session. As I rode down I could feel a difference already. Or could I? Was I fooling myself in to thinking things were better just to comfort myself after parting with the cash? Surely you can't feel the difference at 10mph!

But as we head out on to the track and through Hall Bends I was amazed. The bike was so easy to turn it felt like someone had shaved 30kg's off the bike. Come to the hairpin, turn in WAY TOO FAST and almost hit the kerb.

It took me a while to get used to the speed of turn but come the end of the session and I was fine. So overall I'm well pleased with the wheels

I think so but can't be sure. Went to turn on the lap timer and the battery had gone

But I followed my mate who's laptimer was working and we dipped in to the 1.47's for a couple of laps so I'd say I could be marginally quicker, but won't be claiming any new times

Having said that, I was definately more relaxed and much smoother so CSS has done it's work.

I almost sent you a text message on the day Jasper, just to let you know how pleased I was. But then I remembered you do shift work so thought I'd better not as I might wake you
