748r Power to Weight !

Just out of interest has anyone got any figures for the standard weight of a 748r compared to other 748's?

I am keen to know how much performance can be improved by replacing some kit with light weight versions?

I assume the best place to start for weight savings is wheels, mag swing arm etc?

How do you weigh a bike anyway?

Mood: Just fallen in love with road riding again!
Best to lose unsprung weight, wheels, swing arm, light discs etc.

Most people take weight of the bodywork. 'track day' bikes (light bodywork, light exhaust, ally fairing bracket, no lights, horn, fans, small battery, lightweight flywheel) are harder to set up as the sprung to unsprung ratio is effected if you dont take weight off the wheels too.

Light wheels make the bike turn better too.

tricky to weigh but two sets of bathroom scales work fine.

typically the R is 3-4 kgs lighter than a BP, (alloy subframe, 5 spokes marchesini, carbon airbox) but not THAT much lighter.

is it a road or track bike??
