Im having the same problem with my ZX6R. I have tried almost everything. I took it yesterday to a bike garage and he tried an impact driver and an air wrench and the little fecker will not budge. The nut is starting to round off now as well

SWEAR VERY LOUDLY AT THE BARSTEWARD, THEN TAKE A HAMMER AND COLD CHISEL TO IT.

Even if it doesn't come off, just hitting something hard relieves tension

What was wrong with the old design with the little (M5?) Allen screws and retaining plate?

Too easy to remove?
