Hi again,I painted the inside of my rear light black so it dosn't light up the number plate!purely so as not to dazzle the poor peaple behind, done this on most of my fast bikes for years, never failed a mot yet. Steve

I believe that number plate light is not part of the items tested on a bike. I had an MOT on Monday and it wasn't checked.

My bike passed it's MOT yesterday, I'd just like to warn you all (if you didn't already know), that if your bike has a rear seat, then you WILL NEED PILLION PEGS. My 748S has never had pegs and I nearly failed the MOT cos of it. Thanks to Pro Twins who let me borrow a pair for the MOT.

Just a word of warning for you.... off to source some very cheap pegs then....

Ade.

ps. Good to meet rcgbob44 at pro twins too. Smart bike.

Number plate bulb is one of the first things I check for an MOT, they seem to fail way more often then any other bulb on the bike. Usually it's just a matter of replacing the bulb, although those bulbs can be a bit reluctant to come out of the bulb-holder. A spot of electrical grease or Vaseline doesn't hurt here.

Deej, too true mate. It's daft. They knew I was going back to pro twins to borrow a pair and they'll be off in under half an hour. What is the point?!!

Daft if you ask me.
