slipper clutch???

i have a 4 post slipper, bought ebay. ? how many plates should i have. do i start with a frition plate. and last to go in is a steel, plate. .

Depending on the type or manufacturer of the clutch pack you could have 7, 8 or 9 friction plates.
The more important factor is the pack width. Build the pack up on the bench and then measure it's thickness. You want 35.5 - 36.5mm
Use different steel plates to get the thickness. They are available in 1.5mm and 2mm.
Use a friction plate first, then alternate them. Finish with a steel plate under the pressure plate.
You could end up with two steels going in last depending upon the number of friction plates.
